This room enjoys breathtaking coastal views out beyond the raised decked area. Step down to a separate, more informal area with a large Vibiefe sofa, oak flooring and 50 inch TV with Blu-ray player and surround sound. The high tech 'In-House Zon' music system makes it possible to enjoy high quality music anywhere in the house Games Room A relaxed and less formal area for playing X-Box, board games and for watching TV or DVD's. Wall mounted 40 inch flat screen TV and surround sound. There's a B&B Italia Charles Sofa, a design classic and a toughened glass wall exposes a bespoke staircase leading to one of the bedrooms. Study The study features reading chairs by B&B Italia, a bespoke oak desk, a table designed especially for the space and an arched 'Twig' lamp. This is a place to read a book, write a postcard or relax and listen to music while looking out across the bay. Kitchen & Conservatory The stylist Bulthaup kitchen features floor to ceiling units and a central island. There is everything you could possibly need to make cooking effortless, together with a wine store and a double oven by Wolf. The glass cube conservatory can be accessed directly from the kitchen and the games room. The room's rustic table and benches means the space can also function as the breakfast room and has lovely rural views. Foscarini Caboche glass wall lights illuminate the space. Dining Room A solid oak table top sits on two large 'T' shaped toughened glass bases to give the feeling of floating drift wood. It seats 12 comfortably in ivory hide chairs by Mario Bellini for Cassina. A central feature of the room is the lighting above the dining table made of fine knitted copper wire. Sourced from Barcelona it is reminiscent of a fishing net. A feature wall of rough cut slate is to the left of a ribbon flame gas fire raised and recessed into the chimney face. A Tom Dixon mirrored copper shade pendant provides the centre piece to the glass, steel and oak staircase which sweeps down from the first floor into the dining room. Bedrooms & Wetrooms Each of the six bedrooms (4 doubles and 2 twins) have en suite wet rooms. The master bedroom and one twin room also have large relaxing baths. The rooms have their own unique feel with luxurious individual fabrics. The furnishings are bespoke, designed and made by local craftsmen in a rustic yet contemporary style. The linen is Egyptian Cotton from The White Company and the cosmetics are local organic products from the Celtic Herb Company. Natural sisal flooring is used almost throughout the upstairs with all six of the bathrooms having under-floor heating. Combinations of tiles in stone, marble, iridescent glass and ceramic feature in the bathrooms, along with power showers and stand alone bathtubs. The master suite's vast stone resin bath floats magnificently on a platform of marble flanked by glass in front of a huge arched window with views across beautiful Cardigan Bay. The Grounds: This contemporary garden of over an acre is designed by Mitch Westwood, best known for his appearances as a 'landscaping expert' on BBC's Rogue Traders and Watchdog programmes. Distinctive features include a free-standing glass balustrade which surrounds the raised Garuppa wood sun deck. Rolling lawns, shrubs and trees provide the perfect backdrop to an evening barbeque. The garden includes a helipad and other practical touches, such as outside foot showers and a storage building for stowing wet suits, body boards and bikes. | |
