The Lake house is a unique thatched barn conversion dating back to the 13th century.

It is perfectly suited to smaller parties numbering 10 for accommodation but up to 40 guests for standing events such as birthdays, anniversary celebrations or wedding receptions following your church or registry office marriage.

The property while dating from the 13th Century has been lovingly restored and brought up to date with Bose sound systems, en suite bedrooms and an enormous double height open plan living space which really lends itself to parties.

The kitchen is a good size and perfectly formed with all you might need to prepare everything from canapés to a sit down dinner, including a 6 ring hob, and has a table that seats four, there is a utility room with extra fridge and freezer space so that you can stock up when you arrive. The star of the show is the huge living space,  accented by original beams, and comfortably furnished with big leather sofas, quirky artwork and funky lighting design plus a dining area with a table seating 10 comfortably . French doors lead off the main living area on to the terrace which overlooks the lake and gardens. 

The Master bedroom with en suite is a mezzanine above this living space and like the other bedrooms is luxuriously furnished and decorated with a feature bedstead and oversized mirror- think boutique hotel but yours privately!  The four other bedrooms are all doubles, two en suite and two sharing a bathroom. A very comfortable option for a weekend in beautiful Somerset surroundings, be it to chill out with friends or for a more active weekend exploring all that the local area has to offer.  The owners of the property are very practised at helping groups to host parties at these two properties so, if it is possible, they know who can make it happen, from catering options including shooting party menus, fine dining Indian style and hog roasts, to all sorts of activities and experiences.

Prices

The Lake House can be rented  for a maximum of 10 guests sharing overnight and prices start from £2995  for a 2 night stay inc of VAT, please ask for rates for extra guests, day rental etc.
