Mayfield House is an outstanding modern country house arranged over 4 floors with all principal rooms opening form the magnificent hallway or galleried landing. Throughout the house there is underfloor heating supplied by ground source heat pumps.
Ground Floor
Entrance hallway: grand entrance hallway with a stunning fireplace and white floor tiles. A large chandelier hanging from a galleried landing lit from above by a glazed cupola is accessed by a sweeping cantilevered wrought iron staircase
Drawing room: the main reception room has views to the rear gardens and access to the terrace through its opening doors. The room has two large sofas and chairs, chess board table and a gas coal burning fireplace with a marble surround for those cold winter nights
Dining room: large grand table for 12 to 14 persons with a beautiful fireplace, views out to the side and front gardens
Sitting room: relaxing room has comfortable sofas and a TV with standard SKY TV
Kitchen/breakfast room: this open-plan room has a large fully-equipped hand painted kitchen with granite worktops and a beautiful centre island. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you would expect from a kitchen of this calibre, the breakfast table has seating up to 10 persons with doors leading onto the terrace
Utility room: separate room equipped with washer, drier and additional fridge

Lower Ground Floor
The lower ground floor forms the centre piece of the property and provides the ideal space to relax, socialise and entertain.
Pool: the stunning Italian green marble heated swimming pool is 26 foot x 12 foot and has a depth is 4 foot. The pool benefits from an ionised purified water system which eliminates the need for chlorine or salt. Around the pool there are loungers to relax and enjoy the warmth from the heated and de-humidification controlled room
Gym: air-conditioned gym with a treadmill, cross trainer and bike
Steam room: with changing room and wet shower
Cinema room: projector with large screen and quad surround sound, plus a selection of DVDs
Billiard room: full-size original snooker table from the 18th century and a beautiful marble fireplace
First Floor
Master bedroom suite: large bedroom with a king size bed, views over the gardens and access to the terrace with a small table and chairs. The master suite also has a separate dressing room. The large en-suite was voted by The Times as one of the most sexiest bathrooms and is equipped with a free standing bath and separate wet-room style shower
Guest suite (bedroom 2): super king size bed with views out to the rear gardens. The en-suite bathroom is installed with a wet room style shower and a centre piece bath
Bedroom 3: double bedroom with king bed and access to the terrace, the en-suite has a wet room style shower
Bedroom 4: double bedroom with super king size bed, the en-suite has a rolled-top bath
Second Floor
Bedroom 5: this bedroom can either be arranged as a twin or double bedroom with super king bed and has views over the rear garden; the en-suite has a walk in shower
Bedroom 6: double bedroom with double bed, the en-suite has an enclosed shower

Grounds
Mayfield House grounds are set in 2.5 acres; the property is approached from the lane through wrought iron gates which open onto a sweeping gravel driveway. There is ample parking for cars.
The south facing beautiful landscaped gardens have a full width balustraded terrace, from which broad steps lead down to a formal garden which have a beautiful water feature. To the right side is a large informal lawned garden, which is ideal for playing football or badminton and to the left is a mature orchard.
There is a BBQ to enjoy the summer nights al fresco dining on the wrought iron table and chairs, to one side of the property there is a beautiful veranda with seating to sit back and relax with a gin and tonic.
To one side of the front of the property is garaging with a self-contained apartment above. Please note the owners staff or sometimes the owners may be using the apartment, this will not in any way affect the privacy of your stay in the house.
